FAQ Booking Process

How do we book you?

The first step is simply reaching out.
Tell me a little about yourselves, your wedding plans, and what you're dreaming up for your day. I genuinely love reading inquiry messages because every couple's story is different, and it gives me a chance to begin getting to know the people behind the celebration.
After I receive your inquiry, I'll confirm my availability and send over information about collections and next steps. If it feels like we're a great fit, we'll make things official with a contract and retainer, and your date will be reserved on my calendar.
From there, you're not just booking someone to show up with a camera.
You'll have someone in your corner throughout the planning process. Whether you need guidance on timelines, lighting, locations, engagement session ideas, or simply reassurance that you're on the right track, I'm always happy to help.
Wedding planning can feel overwhelming at times. My goal is to make the photography portion feel simple, exciting, and one less thing to worry about.

Will you help us create a photography timeline?

Absolutely.
In fact, one of the most common things couples tell is how helpful timeline guidance was throughout the planning process.
Beautiful photographs aren't just about having a beautiful location. They're often the result of thoughtful planning. Things like lighting, travel time, family portraits, sunset, and the natural flow of the day all play a role.
Because I spend so much time thinking about these details, I help my couples build a timeline that allows the day to unfold naturally while still creating space for meaningful photographs.
My goal is never to make your wedding revolve around photography. Quite the opposite.
I want your photographs to fit seamlessly into your wedding day rather than your wedding day feeling like one long photoshoot.
The best timelines leave room to breathe, laugh, hug your grandparents, enjoy cocktail hour, and fully experience the celebration you've spent so much time planning.

How do we know if we're the right fit?

This is one of my favorite questions because I believe choosing a wedding photographer is about much more than loving someone's portfolio.
Of course, the photographs matter. But your photographer will spend a large part of your wedding day beside you, guiding you through some of the most emotional and meaningful moments you'll experience together.
The couples who connect most with my work are usually looking for something that feels natural, timeless, and deeply personal. They care about genuine connection more than perfect poses, and they want photographs that feel like them rather than photographs that simply follow trends.
I'm naturally a quiet person. I won't be the loudest voice in the room, and I won't turn your wedding day into a photoshoot. Instead, I focus on creating space for real moments to happen while gently guiding you when needed.
I also get genuinely excited about the artistic side of photography. Beautiful light, movement, atmosphere, thoughtful details, and the unique connection between two people are the things that inspire me most. While I document the story of the day as a whole, my heart is always drawn back to the relationship at the center of it all: the two of you.
If you're looking for a photographer who values authenticity, pays close attention to aesthetics, and cares deeply about creating images that feel both beautiful and meaningful, we may be a wonderful fit.

What makes a wedding photography experience feel stress-free?

Preparation.
Long before your wedding day arrives, on our first phone call, I spend time getting to know your plans, understanding what matters most to you, and helping create a photography experience that feels organized and intentional.
We can meet at the venue anytime before the wedding to walk the property and talk about the sun position during the ceremony, photo locations, reception, etc.
A week before the wedding we will have a final phone call to go over your official timeline in detail.
On the wedding day itself, my goal is to be a calming presence rather than another source of pressure.
I don't expect you to know how to pose. I don't expect you to perform for the camera. I don't believe your day should feel rushed from one photo opportunity to the next.
Instead, I quietly pay attention to the details so you can stay present in the moments that matter most.
The less you have to think about photography, the better the experience tends to be. When you're fully focused on each other, your family, and your celebration, that's when the most meaningful photographs happen.
