Before photography became my profession, it was one part of a much bigger creative life. I grew up painting and sketching, sewing clothes and toys, making jewelry from polymer clay, sculpting, designing graphics, and spending time in the darkroom developing film. Working across so many different materials taught me to notice color, texture, light, composition, and the tiny details that make something feel intentional.

I began photographing seriously in high school, and it quickly became the artistic language I kept returning to. In college, photography was initially my primary concentration, but I chose to shift to painting because I wanted to challenge myself in a different way. That choice strengthened the way I see through a camera: I became more thoughtful about light, color, balance, movement, and the emotional atmosphere of an image—while continuing to photograph all along.

In 2016, I graduated with a degree in Visual Art with a concentration in painting. In 2018, I founded Ethereal Moments Art and began serving couples and families in Western North Carolina. Weddings became the work I felt most drawn to because they hold so much at once: artistry, real human connection, beautiful details, family history, and memories that become more meaningful over time.

My work has been featured in The Marble Magazine (Winter 2010), Massachusetts Preview Magazine (2014), and on the cover and page 54 of the 2024 Photograp[Her] Magazine: Happily Ever After edition.

I am fully insured, continue to work in both digital and analog photography for my own creative practice, and still have a deep love for cameras with history—especially my Kiev 88 medium-format camera.
